Tumie Ngumla (born 14 December 1985 in Port St. Johns) is a South African fan-favorite actress. Appearing as the female winner of season two of Class Act (2011) brought her to the limelight.

She walked away from the SABC1 reality competition with the winner’s prize.

Emerging as a winner in the show automatically earned her a space on the Donovan Marsh film iNumber Number.

Ever since she has not disappointed South Africa so far. She has landed roles as an actress in many television series.

The seasoned actress was born on 14 December 1985 in Port St. John. She was raised in a family with a background in Christianity.

Her father was strict it but did not affect the love he had for his family.

When she was still under the care of her father, going out at night for concerts with siblings was not permitted.

However, the actress never fails to credit her discipline and success to her dad. She lives in the city of Johannesburg, Gauteng.


To be an actress has always been her ambition since her younger days.

During her days as a high school student, she possessed behaviors that stood her out from her equals.

She developed an interest in acting and pursued her dreams to act. Getting the approval and blessings of her parents became another challenge.

Tumie’s parents did not want their daughter to join the media because they feared the effect it would have on her.
