Sihle Zikalala (born 6 August 1973 in Ndwedwe) is a South African politician. He serves as the Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, making him the 8th person to occupy the position.
He also serves under the capacity of the Provincial Chairperson of the ANC. In the political party, he is a juggernaut and has held many positions as a leader.
Sihle is a member of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature, a position he occupied in 2015.
For three years (2016-2019), in the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government, he served under the position of MEC for Economic Development, Tourism, and Environmental Affairs.

Zikalala holds the following academic qualifications;
- Bachelor of Arts in Communication Science.
- Bachelor of Administration Honours cum laude, University of KwaZulu-Natal (2017).
- Master’s degree in Commerce, Graduate School of Business and Leadership (2019).
He kicked off his official political profession in 1990 when he joined African National Congress (ANC). He rose to the full-time organizer for ANC in Ndwedwe (1993 -1994).
At first, he set up structures for the party, African National Congress. Zikalala has also occupied notable positions in the party.
He served as a member of the ANC’s Million Meyiwa Branch. He also occupied the position of ANC Zonal Chairperson (1995-1996).
Later in 1996, Zikalala was elected to the ANCYL North Durban Regional Executive Committee. In the next year, 1997, he climbed to the position of Regional Chairperson.
He was active under the capacity until he was elected as ANCYL Provincial Secretary in 2000.
He was the councilor in Ilembe District Municipality (1996-2000). Following an election in 2004, Zikalala became the Secretary-General of the ANC.
In 2008, he occupied the position of Deputy Provincial Secretary of the ANC KwaZulu-Natal branch following an election.
In 2009, he rose to the Provincial Secretary. Following an election, he became the Provincial Chairperson on 8 November 2015.
In June 2016, he filled in the position of MEC for Economic Development, Tourism, and Environmental Affairs after Willes Mchunu appointed him to the position.
He also occupied the position of the Leader of Government Business in the legislature. In July 2018, he occupied the position of Provincial Chairperson of the party for a second term following re-election.
In May 2019, he became the ANC KwaZulu-Natal Premier candidate succeeding Willies Mchunu. He was elected into office and assumed the post in May 2019.
Sihle Zikalala is married to Nelly Zikalala. The couple exchanged their marital vows in April 2006. With his wife, he is a father of two sons and a daughter.
Sihle Zikalala owns a house which stands at the Parkside, Pietermaritzburg.
