Mampintsha (born Mandla Maphumulo; 18 July 1982 in Umlazi, KZN) is a South African music producer. He has worked with many artists in the country producing their songs.
He made headlines some months ago for assaulting his then-girlfriend Babes Wodumo. He saw himself in the custody of the police after the female artist took it to the paramilitary.

Mampintsha’s date of birth is on 18 July 1982 and the place of birth is in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal. At his naming, his parents named him Mandla Maphumulo.
Growing up, the producer spent some time in Jo’burg and Durban. Though, he boasts of almost two decades of doing music.
In 2002, he entered the music scene after he created the famous kwaito group Big Nuz.
Members of the group include Mampintsha, Mzi “Danger” Tshomela, and the late Sbusiso “R Mashesha” Khoma.
They had known each other since their childhood days growing up in Umlazi. The group members moved from Johannesburg to Durban as they sought a recording contract.
Their initial attempts were unsuccessful, later in 2004, they got one from Gallo Records.
Under the label, they dropped their debut album entitled Zozo, with Kid Mokoena.
They recorded low performance from the album. They released their next album, 2nd Round Knockout (2008), under a new label Afrotainment.
Selling twenty thousand copies recorded them a successful sale. Adding to the success they recorded was a Metro FM award for Best Kwaito.
It received a nomination at the 2008 Channel O Awards. A track in the album Uyoysholo Wena received a nomination for the Song of The Year at 2008 SAMA.
The next album they released was Undisputed. For the success of the album, they had to collaborate with DJ Fisherman and DJ Tira. It was another success they recorded.
It received the Album of the Year award at the SAMAs. A track, Umlilo, from the award-winning album received the Song of the Year Awards also.
In 2011. the musical group dropped Pound for Pound and in 2013 Made in Africa. They were award-winning and reaching platinum.
2015 saw the drop of the album titled “For the Fans” on the day R Mashesha died.
The album was now dedicated to the group member and it received the Best Kwaito album and Best Duo or Group of the year. The group members also dedicated the awards to their late members.
In 2018, Mampintsha dropped his solo studio album titled Gentle Don EP.
Mampintsha was dating Babes Wodumo (Bongekile Simelane), a South African artist. Apart from their love life, he was her manager.
Their love life hit a rocky end after reports of him assaulting her surfaced on the internet. The female artist then took the evidence on social media, his arrest followed.
Though the assault case was later withdrawn following a successful mediation on both parties.
