Luthuli Dlamini (born 12 March 1966 in Zimbabwe) is a South African actor. He is best known for playing the lead role of Stan Nyathi on Scandal!
The veteran actor joined the e.tv soap opera in January 2005, when it premiered, until 2007. He left the show on 28 June 2007 after he was fired for or breach of contract.
That did not affect his progress in the movie industry. He has appeared in several films and also gained international recognition.

The veteran actor was born on 12 March 1966 at Mpilo Central Hospital, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. He spent his early days as a child in Tshabalala before relocating to the UK with his family.
His father secured a job in the island nation. Though, he returned to his country of birth for his academic pursuit. His father who worked as a teacher and his mother as a nurse provided him with his needs.
Luthuli began his academic pursuit at Carmel Primary School. For his O Level, he did Biology, Mathematics, English, Chemistry, Physics, and Accounting.
For his A levels, he did Chemistry, Physics, and Biology at Anderson College. He holds a H Tech in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurements.
He obtained diplomas in Business Management, Human Resource Management, Restaurant Management, and Performing Arts. He moved back to the United Kingdom to further his academic pursuit.
Luthuli holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering and Financial Management. He obtained the certificate from Coventry University.
He is known to many viewers for his role as Stan Nyathi on Scandal!, an e.tv soap opera (2005-2007).
Though he was fired from the show in 2007 for breach of contract, he re-appeared in the show in a recurring role as Stan (2011-2013).
In 2013, he was cast in Generations as Scott Nomvete. He made his first appearance in the SABC1 soap opera on 24 July.
He has made several appearances on TV including on Drum Snitch, Isidingo, Generations, and Justice For All.
In 2008, Luthuli was cast in The Coconuts, he played a leading role in the M-Net sitcom for a year until 2009.
He was cast in a starring role in Greenline, a green consumerism show on SABC3, in 2011.
In 2015, he landed a starring role in the TV commercial for Gill anti-dandruff shampoo. In the Mzansi Magic telenovela, The Road, he landed another starring role as Zwelakhe Masondo.
He has also appeared in theatre productions including in;

In June 2007, he contacted the producers of Scandal! with the claim that he was ill and demanded a few days off. After a few days he still did not show up neither did he contact the producers.
The producers made media statements claiming they did not know his whereabouts.
After trying to reach his home, the calls were not answered and where he lived appeared to be “locked up and uninhabited”.
Following his two weeks of not reporting to work was a manhunt and finally, the police found him hiding in his house. After he was found Luthuli claimed he needed more time alone to recuperate from his illness.
On June 28, e.tv announced that they had fired the veteran actor with immediate effect.
