Lucia Mthiyane (born 16 September 1975 in Umlazi township) is a South African actress and model. She is also a well-known singer, entrepreneur, and chef.
As an actress, the role of Rachel Phakathi in Rhythm City, rose her to prominence. She first appeared in the e.tv soap opera in 2007.

She is a popular jazz singer, model, actress, chef, and entrepreneur. She was cast in the e.tv soap opera Rhythm City (2007-2008). Lucia appeared as Selinah Mdluli in Muvhango, an SABC2 soap opera.
The character is the mother to Pearl, played by Jo-Anne Reyneke. She has also landed acting roles in theatre productions and musicals.
She has also worked as a television presenter and cooperate worker. In 1998, Lucia was cast in the Richard Loring production of Girl Talk.
She also appeared in Janice Honeyman’s Little Shop of Horrors at the Civic Theatre.
In 1997, Lucia made an appearance in Colin Law’s production of Blues Brothers.
Her TV series credits include Mzansi, Generations, Backstage, Soul Buddyz, and Flat 27.
In 1998, Lucia was recognized with an FNB Vita Nomination for Most Outstanding Performance in Musical Theatre in Kippie.
She has sung for former South African presidents including Nelson Mandela and Thabo Mbeki. While on a presidential visit to the country, Lucia sang for the President of Indonesia.
As an ambassador, she represented Carducci Woman and Estee Lauder. She also motivates the female gender with her talks. Lucia received an appointment as a judge for Taste of Durban.
She was recognized with a nomination to be among the chefs to conduct demonstrations for Spekko Rice throughout South Africa. Among her plans is to put together a cooking show on TV.
Her love for cooking has driven her to conduct cooking classes at Miele Kitchens around South Africa.
Although she is a chef doing dishes is not on the list of what she loves doing.
Lucia told DRUM that she can cook every day but not doing dishes. “I can cook everyday but don’t make me do dishes,” she says.
She also doesn’t like to wash clothes by hand. The actress “absolutely” adores children and loves her music talent than cooking and acting.
