His parents are popular names in the music industry, his mother is a lead singer of the Afro-pop group Mafikizolo.
His father is a music mogul who discovers talents and makes them stars. Music is in his blood and he has followed the footsteps of his parents.
Both of his parents might have been his source of inspiration to do music, but having well-known parents is not easy.
Though, he is grateful to have grown up in a family with a musical background, according to him “it is also challenging”.
Ciza is a student and he has been able to balance his academic and career pursuit. He is studying business management at Varsity College.
According to him, he would also want to learn the business side of music. With the idea, he would be able to continue the family business and create a generational legacy like his parents.
He dropped the single Come Alive in July 2020 and released Adge in the same year. Adge is an Afrobeat song filled with Afro-pop mixed with SA Afro-pop.
He got the idea for the title from the Yoruba Language, a language spoken by ethnic Yoruba people in Nigeria. Though Ciza cannot speak the language, he is ever ready to learn.
His music interest dates back to his teenage days. Ciza began to make music when he was fifteen watching his parents. Most times, as a teenager, he was in the studio writing, during his playtime.
Ciza’s parents were also there for him and guided him through his music learning process.
He took to them the songs he wrote and they would ask him to return to the studio until they feel he got it right.
